Senior TLC Expands PACE Services with New Kannapolis Center, Increasing Access for Older Adults in Cabarrus and Stanly Counties

New center begins accepting enrollments on December 1st, bringing full-service and supportive healthcare closer to older adults and their families.

Kannapolis, NC – Senior TLC is proud to announce the approval of its newest Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) center in Kannapolis, marking a significant milestone in the organization's ongoing commitment to helping older adults remain safely living in their homes and communities while receiving comprehensive healthcare and supportive services.

The new Kannapolis center will begin accepting enrollments on December 1, expanding access to PACE services for eligible older adults throughout Cabarrus County and surrounding communities. The expansion also allows Senior TLC to serve the entirety of Stanly County, increasing access to care for older adults who previously resided outside the organization's approved service area.

"With the approval of our Kannapolis center, we are continuing our mission of bringing high-quality, coordinated care closer to the communities we serve," said Cathy Kenzig, Executive Director of Senior TLC. "This expansion will allow more older adults and their families to benefit from a model of care designed to promote independence, improve health outcomes, and support aging in place."

What is PACE?

PACE is a nationally recognized healthcare program that provides comprehensive medical care, rehabilitation services, medications, transportation, social work support, and home-based services through an interdisciplinary team approach. The program is designed for individuals age 55 and older who meet nursing home level-of-care requirements and can safely live in the community with the support of PACE services.

As one of North Carolina's leading PACE organizations, Senior TLC operates a network of centers designed to meet participants where they are. The organization's integrated model includes primary care, specialty services, behavioral health support, rehabilitation therapies, home care services, and care coordination, all working together to improve quality of life for participants and provide peace of mind for caregivers.

The Kannapolis center represents continued growth for Senior TLC as the organization responds to the increasing demand for comprehensive senior services throughout the region. Community partners, healthcare providers, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and families will now have expanded opportunities to refer eligible individuals to the program.

"We know that families want options that allow their loved ones to remain at home while receiving the care they need," said Kenzig. "This expansion strengthens our ability to deliver those services and ensures more older adults have access to a proven model of care that supports independence, dignity, and quality of life."

Individuals, caregivers, and healthcare professionals interested in learning more about eligibility requirements or referral opportunities are encouraged to contact Senior TLC's Intake and Enrollment team.
